We have just completed a new and updated version of the "Travel In Style" video for our website, which features the vehicles we use on tour supplied to us by our transport partner Eavesway Travel.

At a cost of £350,000 EACH These luxury coaches offer excellent legroom and views from the upper saloon, which can accommodate 52 passengers. A further 5 passengers can be accommodated in the lower saloon, or 3 passengers plus a wheelchair, and are fully accessible and DDA* compliant. The layout of the coaches ensures that despite their total seating capacity of 57 persons they offer far greater space, legroom and comfort than any competitors.

New Coach Order for 2014 Announced -

Eavesway have announced that for 2014 to meet demand for their Cruiselink and other coach services they currently have in build at the Van Hool factory in Belgium a further four Van Hool Altano TDX21A coaches. These will be joining their expanded fleet with two arriving in March 14 and two in May 14 in good time for the Cruise season. As with their 2013 intake these state of the art coaches will seat up to 57 persons with full leather interior seating,or 55 plus a wheelchair passenger. All the usual facilities are provided, air conditioning, wc and washroom, refrigerators and drinks boilers as well as free on board WiFi. Once again these fabulous coaches will enable them to offer the very best cruise transfer services available in the UK for our clients and will be working extensively on their new services for Fred.Olsen Cruiselines as well as the new services they are offering to Royal Caribbean, Celebrity and Cunard passengers travelling to Southampton.

 

TML Travel Group - New Look Website Launched

We have just launched a new look website after 18 months on the internet, which is certainly a lot more appealing on the eye and packed full of new features.

Latest modifications include a new "cloud" background to the web page together with a moving slide show at the top. The slide show incorporates some of our favourite destinations as well as a brief glimpse of the vehicles that operate on our tours. We have also refreshed the menu and title colour scheme with a lighter green for the titles and a lighter blue for the menus. All in all we feel these features give it a more calming, relaxed and fresher look.

In addition to the look of the website, we have also included a host of new and updated videos - these include:

• A new Introductory video on the main home page
• A revised "Travel In Style" video in the Travelling Experience section taking into account the latest Eavesway fleet update
• A new video outlining the type of Hotel Accommodation to expect across our brands
• A new Premier Class Day Excursions video and a new Premier Class Weekend Breaks video

We have also created a page linked to our BLOG and also a new Twitter feed to keep you fully updated of developments. It is also planned to upload an interactive brochure element to our home page, which will host our current newsletter.

There is now also a new Newsletter Signup element, to allow you to sign up directly to our new "Traveller E-News" monthly bulletin.

New TML Travel Group Promotional DVD Launched on Eavesway Cruiselink Service

We have this week launched a new promotional DVD for use by Eavesway Travel on their Cruiselink services from Southampton.

The new DVD features an overview of our "Premier Class" Weekends together with a preview of some of our forthcoming tours over the Autumn of 2013 and Spring of 2014. There is also a sneak preview of some of the other tours we have planned for 2014.

Featured tours in this video are our forthcoming "Waddesdon Manor At Christmas & The Code Breakers Of Bletchley Park" and also our "Discover The Waldorf" 5* London Weekend. There is also a mention of some of our other forthcoming "Premier Class" Weekends for 2014 as well as brief details of some of our planned Country Club Weekends.

In November 2014, we will be offering a one night "Discover Country Club" break to the Marriott St. Pierre Hotel & Country Club near Chepstow to allow clients to experience a taste of what our Country breaks offer.

NEW! STEAM-Link Service To The Severn Valley Railway

The Severn Valley Railway working in conjunction with Eavesway Travel & TML Travel Group are pleased to announce the launch of “STEAM-Link” – a new dedicated 5* coach transfer service to the SVR Autumn Steam Gala.

Operated as a joint initiative between the three companies, “STEAM-Link” will be offering dedicated coaches from various points around the country to the SVR at Kidderminster on Sunday 22^nd September 2013. It offers a realistic alternative to visitors who don't want to take their own cars.

The “STEAM-Link” service offers luxury executive coach travel to/from Kidderminster and a complimentary Continental Style Breakfast Box during your journey to Kidderminster. The breakfasts are being provided by "Chef In A Box". 

The services are being operated by Eavesway Travel using the high specification coaches that normally run the operators extensive "Cruiselink" service. Most coaches are disabled accessible and can carry one wheelchair.

A number of packages will be available for this service from coach seat only (including breakfast box), to a combined Coach & Gala Ticket. Waddesdon Manor At Christmas & The Codebreakers Of Bletchley Park

TML Travel Group - Introducing "Discerning Tours For Discerning People"

Welcome to the inaugural blog from TML Travel Group - the home of "Discerning Tours For Discerning People". We specialise in a niche market more boutique style product.

I feel it would only be right for me to advise readers on our background and what influenced our decision to offer "Discerning Tours For Discerning People" or as they are more commonly known luxury escorted tours. Having been involved in the travel industry since the tender age of 15, which is now some 24 year ago, I have noticed a radical shift in the types of touring vehicles (coaches) now on Britain's roads. However, I do not feel that the mainstream industry has kept pace in the type of product it offers to compliment these state of the art vehicles. As a consequence, the traditional coach holiday market has seen a decline in recent years as the products have not kept pace with clients expectations in terms of product and service. The other problem is PERCEPTION - many people still think of coaches as the old, smelly, 53 seater coach they traveled on back in their school days 30-40 year ago, not the modern, sleek (in most cases) state of the art vehicles they are today.

If we take a look at the cost of new vehicles over the last 40 years, we will see things have moved on considerably:

• In 1973 a Bedford VAL with Plaxton Panorma bodywork cost £11,000
• In 1983 a Bedford 'Y series' with Plaxton Paramount bodywork cost £45,000
• In 1993 a Volvo B10M with Plaxton Premiere bodywork cost £90,000
• In 2003 a Volvo B10M with Plaxton Panther bodywork cost £180,000
• In 2013 a Volvo B12B with Plaxton Elite bodywork cost £240,000

It is because of the foregoing that I believe people's perceptions have become somewhat distorted.

I quite often hear around the industry about how Mrs X has died, but I'm not getting new business through to replace her. This is a very common tale. However, it is not all doom and gloom there are a number of tour operators out there who have stuck their necks out and clearly taken a gamble by upping their game in terms of product offering and as a consequence are attracting a younger clientele. It has to be said these type of tour operators are in the minority, but are highly successful. The most recent Mintel report tells us that the two growth areas that need courting and fast are the budget sector and also the luxury sector - the middle market will get squeezed.

Over the last 24 years, I have always striven to increase the quality of the product offering, whilst offering the product at a realistic price. It is this philosophy I brought with me when I set up TML Travel Group some 3 years ago. Buying a holiday is not a cheap business these days and I firmly believe that because of this people should get good quality and a first-class travelling experience. By travelling experience, I am not just talking about the vehicle - I'm talking about all the components that go to make up a holiday. At TML Travel Group all our tours offer:
