Monday — “Rotherham Roads & A Rising Horizon at TML HQ” Monday opened in Rotherham , with David stepping straight back into the familiar operational rhythm of assisting Steve Bailey and his team — vehicle preparation, checks, and deliveries across Yorkshire. A hands‑on start. A continuation of the steady, grounded work that has defined the first days beyond Leeds. A purposeful cadence. Meanwhile, back at TML HQ , I monitored the early results of our TML Heritage Journeys newsletter sent out over the weekend — and the response was immediate. We’ve already begun receiving our first enquiries for Iona in April/May 2027 , a clear sign that the brand’s momentum is beginning to build. To support this, I posted links to our latest newsletter across our social media channels, ensuring visibility, reach, and a gentle reminder that Heritage Journeys is very much part of TML’s future. I also gave people a glimpse of our plans for Scenic Scotland Xplorer and the Outer Hebrides in 2027 ...

Saturday Prelude — The Echo After the Final Door Saturday carries a different kind of quiet. The Leeds chapter closed yesterday, but today the echoes arrived — messages, gratitude, memories, and the kind of heartfelt words that only appear when a legacy has truly landed. And some said the words that defined the entire week: “Thank you for keeping us safe.” Those words travelled far today. A Morning of Messages Master Ronnie wrote with warmth and honesty, speaking of six years of guidance and how the workplace won’t be the same. Master Jonny reflected on the baton pass,...

Monday -  “A Cinematic Week Begins…” David left early this morning for Leeds — the start of what promises to be a busy five‑day stretch across Yorkshire. But before he disappeared down the M62, he made sure my week began with a flourish. He authorised the full launch of my brand‑new Scenic Scotland Xplorer film across all our Facebook pages and YouTube. A proper rollout. A cinematic debut. A moment I’ve been quietly preparing for. And then — with that same early‑morning momentum — he approved the draft of the new TML Heritage Journeys film I’ve been shaping over the weekend. Not just approved… celebrated. Within minutes, he emailed the link to a longstanding friend of TML Travel Group: The Rev Andrew — a familiar face from our heritage journeys to Iona , Lindisfarne , and St Davids . Andrew first met David back in 2005 when he was Vicar of Midhurst in Sussex, introduced through friends of David’s family who had moved from the Wirral to Midhurst. A friendship built on heritage...
